Reglement für den Verkauf des Priestertums des Dionysos Thyllophoros

Unter dem monarchos Charmidas, im Monat Alseios, am ersten.Folgendes haben verfasst die gewählten Mitglieder der Kommissionfür das Priestertum des Dionysos Thyllophoros,Aristos S.d. Aristoboulos, Pamphilos S.d. Kleandros:Zu Glück und Heil! Die Poleten sollen das Priestertumdes Dionysos Thyllophoros verkaufen im Monat Karnei-os. Die Käuferin soll gesund sein und unversehrt und nichtjünger als zwölf Jahre. Sie soll lebenslang Priesterin sein. Siesoll den erzielten (Kaufpreis) in drei Raten abzahlen, dieerste im Monat Karneios unter Charmidas, die zwei-te im Monat Gerastios nach dem monarchos Charmidas,die dritte im Monat Alseios unter demselben monarchos.Wenn sie aber nicht die Raten abzahlt in dervorgeschriebenen Zeit, sollen sie die Schatzmeister anzeigenbei den Eintreibern, um das Doppelte einzutreiben. Die Stadtsoll die Priesterin weihen. Die Kosten für die Weihe sollendie Schatzmeister erstatten. Dass die Priesterin geweiht werde gemäßden Gesetzen, das sollen die Poleten verdingen. Es sei der Priesterinerlaubt, eine Unterpriesterin zu bestimmen, aber nur eine Bürgerin. Einer anderen seinicht erlaubt, Priesteramt und Kult dem Dionysos Thyllophoros auszuüben, außer jener,die die Priesterin bestimmt hat in jedem Demos. Wenn eine hiergegenPriesteramt und Kult verrichtet, sei es erlaubt dem Vormund der Priesterin undder von der Priesterin bestimmten (Unterpriesterin) oder jedem anderen,der will, vor dem Rat anzuzeigen diejenige, die Priesteramt und Kult ausübt,als Frevlerin an der Stadt. Welche aber nach dem Urteil der StadtPriesteramt und Kult unrechtmäßig ausübt, die soll als Strafgeld zahlen- - - Drachmen; das soll sein zur Hälfte dem, der die Anzeigeeinbrachte, - - -- - -Lücke- - - derjenigen, die geweiht wurde,

soll die Priesterin alles darreichen. Von den für DionysosThyllophoros geopferten Tieren soll die Opfernde derPriesterin als Ehrengaben geben: von Schafen und ausgewachsenen Opfertieren:Schenkel und Haut und einen Triobolos; von Jährlingen: Kopfund Füße und Haut und eine Obole; vom Schwein: Schenkel undeinen Triobolos; vom Ferkel: Kopf und Füße und eine Obole;vom Rind: Schenkel und Haut und eine Drachme. Von dem, was einezusätzlich auf den Opfertisch für den Gott legt, soll die Hälfteder Priesterin sein. Wer die Ehrengaben nicht abgibt, wie vorgeschrieben,derjenigen soll das Opfer als nicht geopfert gelten. Allen soll das Opferauf den Altar legen die Priesterin oder Unterpriesterin, die die Priesterin bestimmt hat. DiePoleten sollen verdingen, dass dieses Reglement aufgeschrieben wirdauf eine steinerne Stele und aufgestellt im Tempel derZwölfgötter. Die für die Weihe angefallenen Aufwendungenund (die Kosten) für die Stele und die Aufzeichnung des Reglementssoll die Käuferin des Priestertums den Schatzmeistern zusammen mit demanderen Kosten bezahlen.Panamyas S.d. Theudotos stellte den Antrag: Das Übrige wie in dem Reglement(festgelegt); aber damit das Heiligtum des Antigonos eine Restaurierungund Pflege erfahre, soll die Käuferin des Priestertumsdes Dionysos Thyllophoros in ihre Rechnung setzenzugunsten der Vorsteher - - - pro Jahrfür die Restaurierung und Pflege einhundert Drachmen.- -?- -

Under monarchos Charmidas in the month Alseios on the first,the following was drawn up by the men elected concerningthe priesterthood of Dionysos Thyllophoros,Aristos son of Aristoboulos, Pamphilos son of Kleandros:For good fortune: the poletai are to sell the priest-hood of Dionysos Thyllophoros in the month Karneios;the buyer is to be healthy and undamaged and notyounger than twelve years; she is to be priestess for life; shewill make three deposits toward the sum, thefirst in the month Karneios under Charmidas, the secondin the month Gerastios after monarchos Charmidas,the third in the month Alseios under that same monarchos;if she should not set down the deposit at the timeprescribed, the treasurers are to list herwith the collection agents to collect double; the cityis to inaugurate the priestess, and the expense for the inauguration isto be paid by the treasurers; so that the priestess is inaugurated in keeping withthe laws, the poletai are to see to the contract; the priestess is to be permittedto appoint as assistant one (female) citizen; it is not to be permitted for another to serve as priestessor initiate to Dionysos Thyllophoros other than whom thepriestess appoints in each deme; if anyone contrary to these thingsacts as priestess or initiates, it is to be permitted to the guardian of the priestess andof those appointed by the priestess or of others who so wishto denounce to the council the one acting as priestess or initiating,as wronging the city; she whom the city may convict as guiltyof initiating or acting as priestess is to pay as a penalty- - - drachmas; this is to be half for thedenouncer, - - -- - -lacuna- - - to her who initiates

the priestess is to furnish all things; from the victimssacrificed to Dionysos Thyllophoros the woman sacrificingis to give to the priestess as perquisites: from sacrificial adult sheep,leg and skin and a triobol, from yearlings, headand hooves and skin and an obol; from a pig, leg anda triobol, from a pig, head and hooves and an obol;from a bovine, leg and skin and a drachma; of whateversomeone sets out on the table for the god, half is to befor the priestess; for her who does not give the perquisites as prescribed,the victims are to be invalid; the priestess or subpriestess whomthe priestess appoints is to place on the altar the victims for all women; thepoletai are to contract to inscribe this ruleon a stone stele and erect it in the temple of the TwelveGods; the expense incurred for the inaugurationand for the stele and inscribing the rulewill be paid to the treasurers by her who buys the priesthood along withthe rest of the price.Panamyas son of Theudotos proposed: the rest as in the rule;but so that the temple of Antigonos obtain repairand upkeep, she who buys the priesthoodof Dionysos Thyllophoros is to deposit tothe account for overseers - - - every yearfor repair and upkeep one hundred drachmas.- -?- -
